Your recipients need to be linked to a list in order to receive your newsletters.

You link the recipients to a list when you import, through copy and paste, via a file or Fortnox. Choose the list to send a newsletter to, if you want the contacts linked to that list to receive an email.

In this article, you will learn how to import contacts from Fortnox.

Before you start

  • No confirmation email is sent to your contacts when you import them.

  • Duplicate email addresses are automatically excluded,

  • Existing contacts will receive a new subscription.

  • To add new contacts, you will need to repeat the import process.

  • If an email address is already subscribed to the specified list, no new subscription will be created.

Steps to Import Contacts from Fortnox

  1. Go to "Contacts" > "Import Contacts.

  2. Select the option "Fortnox."

  3. Click "Log in with Fortnox."

  4. Follow the instructions to log in to your Fortnox account.

  5. Click "Grant Access"

  6. Click "Continue"

  7. Choose the list you want your contacts to subscribe to.

  8. Decide whether to import all contacts or based on city, postal code, or status.

  9. Match the information from Fortnox to the corresponding attribute fields in the system.

  10. Decide how to manage existing contacts:

If you choose to update existing contacts, the fields you have matched will be updated with the information from Fortnox.

If you choose to leave existing contacts unchanged, no updates will be made to the current contacts.

  11. When you're finished, click on "Continue" to start the import.

  12. In the review step, you can preview and adjust your selections before proceeding with the import.

  13. Confirm that you have permission to import these contacts.

  14. Click "Start Import Now" to begin the import process.

After starting the import, go to "Contacts" > "Import Contacts" to check the import status and view a summary. The summary will show:

  • The number of contacts successfully imported.

  • Existing contacts that were updated.

  • If there were any errors, you’ll have the option to download an error file with details on contacts the system couldn’t process.

Good luck with your import! If you have any questions, feel free to contact support.
